CCS4000 Series Sludge Blanket Analyzer

Overview

The CCS4000, Clarifier Control System, is an automatic sludge blanket monitor for measuring and monitoring levels of sludge, rag layer and clarity of liquor. Its technology may be easily employed in a broad range of clarifier applications including water and wastewater treatment facilities, sugar refining, pulp and paper mill water treatment, brine tanks in food processors, industrial clarifier applications and many others.

The CCS4000 minimizes error due to operator interpretation and eliminates the need for manual sampling. On-board alarm relays automatically warn of rising or decreasing levels and help prevent vessel upset, or costly regulatory noncompliance.

  • Early warning - The CCS4000 tracks the sludge level, rag layer, and clarity loss in real time. Upset conditions can now be identified immediately that would have been missed if they occurred between operator samples
  • Cuts pumping and disposal costs -  Optimizes processing efficiencies
  • Save money by preventing washouts - Automatic sludge blanket monitoring warns of worsening effluent quality, and prevents costly regulatory non-compliance
  • Minimize energy costs - The 4-20 mA signals and relays can be used to fully automate sludge withdrawal pumps, or alarm to add components for efficient operations thereby minimizing run time and saving energy costs
  • Increased manpower and efficiency - With the CCS4000 there is no need for manual core sampling or subjective readings. Plant personnel are now free for other critical tasks.

Easy start-up – The CCS4000 is delivered from the factory pre-configured for easy start-up. The user only needs to enter tank depth in order to get up and running.
